Grip
  1. Always get your grip with the club in the air.
  2. Place the club along the line where your fingers connect to your hand.
  3. Make sure the grip is seated under the palm pad in your laft hand.
  4. See two knuckles on your left hand.
  5. The V's formed by the thumb and forefinger on both hands should point to the right ear.
  6. Grip pressure is much softer than you think...like holding an open tube of toothpaste.
Stance & Posture
  1. Have springs on your feet and get into an athletic position.
  2. There is more bend from the hip than at the knees.
  3. Flare your left foot to enable a smooth follow through.
  4. Let your arms hang naturally.
  5. Butt of the club should be one hand width from the body.
Swing
  1. We have a good grip, aim, stance, and posture, now comes the easy part!
  2. Swing toe-up to toe-up.
  3. Follow through on all full shots.
Irons
  1. Pitching wedge ball position is in the center of the stance. Each iron up, the ball position moves slightly towards the left foot, with the three iron about one inch inside the left heel.
  2. On shorter irons, the hands should be slightly ahead of the ball at both setup and impact.
  3. Let the length of the club dictate the back swing, shorter clubs...shorter back swing.
  4. Make sure you are hitting down on the golf ball instead of trying to scoop the ball in the air.
Long Irons & Woods
  1. Ball position is forward in the stance. (Inside Left Foot)
  2. Open your stance slightly.
  3. Try not to rush your downswing. Be smooth and patient with your swing.
  4. Complete each swing with a smooth, full follow through.
