Enjoy links-style golf amid the tangled fescue

Tall tufts of blue-gray fescue grass nod above our Scottish links-style golf course and give our club in Shoreham, Long Island, its name. The grasses make up part of the challenge as you're playing a round on our course. When playing Tallgrass, you will face more than 70 yawning bunkers, dune-like areas and acre upon acre of tangled native fescue. Once upon a time, the course was part of the Delalio family's sod farm in what was largely an area of agriculture. In 2000, the property was turned into a links-style golf course, reminiscent of traditional courses in the British Isles. It was designed by architect Gil Hanse, an up-and-coming East Coast designer, known for layouts that show respect for the land and that strive to turn natural landforms into obstacles for golfers.

Our classes are never more than 4 students per PGA Pro for your morning session at the practice stations, and never more than 3 students per PGA Pro for your afternoon playing lesson.
You get a playing lesson with your PGA Professional each and every day of your school.
We use PGA Professionals who are highly skilled Instructors, who know how to teach and play this great game. Many have been former Tour Pros, Head Professionals, Teaching Professionals, and Directors of Instruction who were chosen by us for their passion to help others. Many are really fun, patient people at the top of their field who are great with everyone from beginners to accomplished players.
You name the dates you want your school and we will honor them. You will have a school according to your schedule, not only ours.

Daily itinerary for Fairway Golf Schools: Tall Grass Country Club

9:00 -12:00: Practice stations for personal lessons with your PGA professional. We will also video tape your swing for a take home teaching analysis.
12:00 - 12:45: Lunch
12:45 - 3:00pm: On course play with your PGA Professional.
3:00 pm: Unlimited Golf
